Consumers in Liberty County recently voted GeoVista Credit Union the "Best Financial Institution/Loan Company."

The chief business officer from Georgia's Own Credit Union recently spoke to CreditUnions.com about her process of moving from the banking world to credit union land.
According to the CreditUnions.com article, Putt joined Georgia's Own Credit Union in September 2017 after working with various banks for more than 20 years.

Eton Elementary School students will start the year enjoying a new playground provided by the 2019 Georgia United Foundation School Crashers Program.
On Aug. 17, Georgia United Credit Union team members and community volunteers provided fresh much to the the school grounds and installed new playground equipment complete with slides, climbing activities and adaptive swings while updating additional equipment with fresh paint. In addition, new playground games including hopscotch were hand-painted by volunteers.

LGE Community Credit Union celebrated the official grand opening of its new Alpharetta branch on Aug. 20.

Go Energy Financial recently awarded $1000 each in scholarships to two outstanding Georgia high school students.
This year's scholarships went to Colin Burnett from Marietta and Lauren Heighton from Hoschton.
Burnett plans to attend Georgia Tech, where he'll major in aerospace engineering. The Georgia Walton Comprehensive HIgh School graduate was president of the Environmental Club. He also served on the Student Leadership Council, in Model United Nations and attended the Governor's Honors Program.
