February 27th, 2020182During its recent annual training day, MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union employees made a donation to help local homeless men and women.
The employees donated items to the Daybreak Day Resource Center, a division of DePaul USA, which is a national nonprofit organziation providing services to homeless men and women across the nation. Every weekday in Macon, an average of 100 homeless mena nd women visit Daybreak to receive services that can help them overcome the immediate crisis of homelessness. February 24th, 20201196Kinetic Credit Union recently awarded its Golden Apple award to a deserving third-grade teacher at Blanchard Elementary School in Columbus.
Kinetic awards this honor to local teachers in conjunction with WRBL, a local TV station.
According to a WRBL article, this most recent Golden Apple went to third-grade teacher Janet Malcomb, who was nominated by Africa Lattimore, the mother of one of her students.
Lattimore told WRBL that "Ms. Malcomb applies great effort into ensuring all of her students are successful."

February 20th, 2020078Delta Community Credit Union recently donated a total of $20,000 to two deserving local charities, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article.
The credit union donated $10,000 each to MUST Ministries and the Tommy Nobis Center.
The money going toward MUST will support the charity's Neighborhood Pantry Program, which work out of Cobb and Cherokee county school to support families in those areas. The donation to Tommy Nobis will go toward its Early Youth Employment Services program, which offers job training, education and other skills for high school students with disabilities.
