Friday, May 21, 2021 was an exciting day, not only for SRP Federal Credit Union, but for South Augusta, when a groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new branch at 3034 Peach Orchard Road. Augusta Mayor Hardie Davis, District 2 Commissioner Dennis Williams, and other community leaders were in attendance to celebrate the upcoming branch opening.

Columbus, Ga. – Kinetic Credit Union awarded the Ronald J. Mahoney Kinetic scholarships to two rising college students in our area on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
The two recipients are Claire Hidle from Northside High School and Kevin Alex Brown from Columbus High School. Claire has been accepted to Georgia Tech where she will be working towards a degree in Biology. Recently, the Credit Union hosted a Charitable Contributions Raffle to raise money for Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, The Salvation Army, MUST Ministries and The Children’s Haven. Gadsden, Ala. – In 2009, Family Savings began offering $1,000 scholarships through the CV Glassco Memorial Scholarship Fund, named for our previous board chairman, CV Glassco who passed away in 2008. In 2019, the credit union established a new scholarship based off the wishes of a long-time employee and board member, Ms. Audra Burger.
