September 10th, 2020472McCoy Federal donated to New Beginnings of Central Florida (NBCF) to strengthen those overcome by homelessness and poverty. NBCF was formed in 2007 when the founders discovered Clermont had no shelters or aid to prepare the homeless for economic independence. A small team of volunteer case workers implemented daily mandatory programs of education, private counseling, and on-the-job training. They also guided clients through the referral process for housing, utilities, health care, food, and clothing.

September 9th, 2020379McCoy Federal’s Apopka branch in Florida is participating in the Apopka Pregnancy Care Center (APCC) Baby Bottle Boomerang fundraiser—a unique drive that distributed over 1,000 empty baby bottles to area businesses for donations.
In addition to setting up a branch lobby display, Apopka volunteered to sort the enormous volume of coins.

August 5th, 2020590VyStar Credit Union obtained more loans on behalf of small business owners through the SBA's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) than any other credit union in Florida and among the most in the U.S., according to data released by the United States Treasury Department in July.
After the PPP began accepting applications in April, VyStar originated 4,431 loans totaling $146,593,337. These funds helped local small business owners retain employees, pay bills and remain viable despite the challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
