NATIONAL CREDIT UNION FOUNDATION WELCOMES EMILY LEACH AS VP, HEAD OF PARTNERSHIPS & FUNDRAISING

Industry and fintech leader brings innovative approach to partnerships, growth and engagement

Madison, Wis.  –  The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) announced today that Emily Leach has joined the organization as Vice President, Head of Partnerships & Fundraising.

In this role, Leach will lead efforts to cultivate strategic partnerships and engage organizations that share a commitment to improving financial well-being with and through credit unions. Working across the industry, she will cultivate partnerships and create opportunities that advance the Foundation’s mission and strengthen the collective impact of the credit union movement.

She joins the Foundation’s Growth Team, working alongside the organization’s Head of Digital Marketing and Head of Brand & Experience to elevate the Foundation’s visibility, engagement, and long-term sustainability.

Leach brings extensive experience in strategic partnerships, sales leadership, financial services, fintech, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has built relationships across financial institutions, industry associations, businesses, and community organizations to advance strategic priorities and deliver meaningful impact.

“Emily brings a rare combination of relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the credit union system,” said Lauren Culp, Executive Director at the National Credit Union Foundation. “Her experience spans Fortune 500 organizations and innovative fintech startups, giving her a unique perspective on how partnerships can drive meaningful outcomes. As we continue to expand the Foundation’s reach and impact, Emily will help engage and mobilize the organizations, leaders, and resources needed to make financial well-being the throughline in everything credit unions do.”

Prior to joining the Foundation, Leach served as Head of Sales and Partnerships at Silvur, a retirement-focused fintech company that partners with credit unions to help members navigate retirement planning, Social Security, and Medicare. In that role, she worked at the intersection of technology, financial wellness, and credit union partnerships, helping credit unions connect members with resources that support financial confidence throughout life’s transitions.

Before Silvur, Leach spent more than a decade at Visa, where she held leadership positions focused on serving financial institutions and advancing payment innovation, digital adoption, financial education, and community engagement. As a regional sales leader, she partnered with financial institutions across seven states and collaborated with industry associations, chambers of commerce, universities, and community organizations to advance strategic initiatives and expand financial education efforts.

“I’m honored to join the National Credit Union Foundation and contribute to an organization that has such a meaningful impact on the credit union movement,” said Leach. “Credit unions have an incredible ability to improve the financial well-being of individuals, families, and communities. I’m excited to build partnerships that help strengthen that impact, bring more resources to the movement, and support the Foundation’s mission for years to come.”

Based in Washington, D.C., Leach is passionate about bringing people, organizations, and shared purpose together to create meaningful change.
