Virginia Beach, VA – Chartway Credit Union today announced the promotion of Rob Keatts to executive vice president and chief operating officer. He will also continue serving as president of Chartway Ventures, the credit union’s wholly owned Credit Union Service Organization. The move reflects the credit union’s continued growth and strategic progression.
In his new role, Keatts will serve as a close partner to President and CEO Brian Schools, helping lead Chartway’s operations and advance enterprise priorities that serve its members, communities, and team members. His responsibilities will continue to expand as Chartway’s leadership structure evolves.

Keatts joined Chartway in 2016 as chief information officer and has since served as chief strategy officer and chief growth officer. During his tenure, his leadership has expanded across technology, digital banking, enterprise strategy, innovation, marketing, lending, and corporate development. As president of Chartway Ventures, Keatts also leads investment efforts focused on scalable innovation and emerging financial technologies that enhance the member experience.
