“Since COVID, Meals on Wheels agencies across the country have had difficulty getting and retaining volunteer delivery drivers,” shared Kenny Weaver, Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Houston County. “This generous donation will allow us to fund a part-time delivery driver, five days per week, for one year. The driver, along with our volunteers will ensure that we can continue to deliver meals to the people we serve each day.”
Since beginning the Community Project initiative in 2015, Robins Financial has been able to give back more than $2.1 million to non-profit organizations making a lasting impact within the communities.
“Our Community Project initiative allows us to directly invest in organizations that are changing lives every day,” said Christina O’Brien, President and CEO of Robins Financial Credit Union. “We are proud to support these eighteen recipients as they continue their important work and strengthen our communities.”
