August 12th, 2024427Days before the start of the new school year, First Commerce team members from the Adel financial center visited Cook County Middle School and donated 24 backpacks for teachers to give to students who may not have the ability to purchase their own school supplies. The backpacks were filled with notebooks, watercolor pens, scissors, rulers, pencils and erasers, pencil sharpeners and pencil cases. (Aug. 6, 2024) — AmFirst announced today that it provided 55,000 meals to Alabamians during the month of July through the Feeding Families Across Alabama Food Drive. The drive was undertaken in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama and Sinclair Broadcasting.
AmFirst collected nearly 18,000 pounds of food for the drive across all participating branches. The credit union also presented a gift of $10,000 to the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, funding 40,000 additional meals.
