Lane deposited more rain than any other tropical storm or cyclone in Hawaii's history, according to Weather.com. The downpour also ended up being the second-highest rain total in U.S. history by a tropical storm, dumping 52.02 inches on the islands. That's second only to Hurricane Harvey's 60.58 inches last year.

As of Tuesday morning, there were 18 large wildfires burning across California.
"I don't want to overstate it, but this is apocalyptic, even by California standards," said John Cassidy, CEO of Sierra Central Credit Union. "These are some of the hottest fires ever recorded because of the type of timber and brush firefighters have to deal with."

According to CUNA, results were reported by 145 credit unions that participated in the challenge, which was sponsored by both CUNA and Fiserv.
