January 24th, 20202986Kinetic Credit Union recently partnered with local TV station WRBL to award a Kinetic Credit Union GOlden Apple Award to Shelly Godwin, a deserving teacher at Webster County Elementary-Middle School.
Godwin was nominated by Nikki Jones, the parent of one of her students, Mackenzzie Jones, who said Godwin goes above and beyond to make sure her students excel, according to a WRBL article. Jones also said the atmosphere in Godwin's classroom is fun and inviting.
Godwin told WRBL she loves her students and coming to work each day.

When the program began in October 2018, about 376 unique users logged on for 736 total sessions, according to a City Biz List article. Now, just over two years later, approximately 1,000 users log onto the free Wi-Fi each month.

January 10th, 2020269Thanks to a $19,000 donation made, in part, by LGE Community Foundation -- the nonprofit arm of LGE Community Credit Union -- thousands of Marietta and Cobb County students will be able to eat a hot meal.
The donation paid off school meal debt in the two counties, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article. That allowed roughly 44,900 low-income students to receive free and reduced-price lunches in their school cafeterias.

Donations collected at Georgia United Credit Union branch locations provided 2,470 gifts to children in the foster care system in 10 Georgia counties.
