March 9th, 2020197All In Credit Union has been helping with the up-keep on land the City of Dothan, Ala. donated to Hurricane Katrina survivors almost 15 years ago.
Dothan built up the subdivision of Diamond Grove Park with 14 homes to house Katrina evacuees, according to a WTVY Channel 4 article. Now, the Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity is responsible for upkeep of the land.
However, All In Credit Union recently saw what the Habitat for Humanity was doing and decided to help. The credit union gave Habitat a grant for $22,000 in repairs.

February 26th, 20202104Tyndall Federal Credit Union recently contributed $5,000 to its Public Service Scholarship at Chipola College.
According to Foster Folly News, the latest donation brings contributions up to $25,000 over five years.
This scholarship is intended to help students enroll in the college's law enforcement, corrections and firefighting programs, and is available to residents of Jackson, Calhoun, Washington and Holmes counties.

According to a WTVY Channel 4 article, Dow teaches history and coaches football at Dauphin Jr. High School in Enterprise, Ala. He was nominated by one of his students, Jessica Scott, who credits Dow with helping her bring her grade up to an "A."

February 21st, 2020264During its annual Employee Forum training day, Five Star Credit Union employees donated cleaning supplies to the Wiregrass Humane Society and Dothan Animal Shelter.
The staff collected 7,550 Clorox wipe, 1,279 quarts of cleaning liquids, including bleach and 182 rolls of paper towels. These were all cleaning supplies that the shelter identified as major needs. The director said the donation arrived at the right time as their cleaning supplies are getting low.

February 17th, 20203110Five Star Credit Union recently sponsored a fundraiser for Wiregrass Area Food Bank.
The fundraiser, called Empty Bowls Dothan 2020, produced enough funds to provide almost 3,400 meals, according to a Dothan Eagle article.

February 7th, 20200109Some Federal Employees Credit Union members found themselves with a little extra money in their accounts, thanks to the credit union’s recent unprecedented loan interest rebate.
Federal Employees CU refunded members 10% of interest they paid on loans from January, 2019 until September, 2019, placing the money into their share accounts. In total, the credit union rebated about $45,000.
Federal Employees Credit Union CEO and Manager Greg Keller said the refund wasn’t something for which leadership had originally planned or budgeted. It just felt like the right thing to do.
