Center Parc Credit Union Empowers Future Entrepreneurs Through Newton County FLEX Program

ATLANTA, GA – Center Parc Credit Union recently joined local business and community leaders to help young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into actionable business plans through the Newton County FLEX (Foundational Leadership and Entrepreneur X-perience) program.

As Presenting Sponsor of the program, Center Parc participated in a Business Plan Workshop held September 30, 2026, at the Georgia Bio Science Training Center in Social Circle, Georgia.

The event brought together students from Alcovy High School, their marketing instructor, Dr. Quinita Morrow, and representatives from Newton County Schools, the Newton County Chamber of Commerce, and the Newton County Industrial Development Authority.

The interactive workshop gave students an opportunity to connect directly with experienced business professionals, gain practical insights, and strengthen the skills needed to launch and grow successful businesses.

Throughout the workshop, students explored five essential areas of entrepreneurship:

  • Turning an idea into a viable business
  • Understanding customers and competition
  • Developing products and managing business operations
  • Creating effective marketing and sales strategies
  • Navigating funding, pricing, and profitability

Center Parc team members shared expertise in business operations, marketing, sales, and financial planning, offering practical guidance to help students better understand the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship. Working alongside other local business leaders, they helped students explore strategies for attracting customers, generating sales, managing expenses, and building businesses positioned for long-term success.

“At Center Parc, we believe financial education and mentorship are powerful tools for creating opportunity,” said Blake Westbrook, Chief Growth Officer at Center Parc Credit Union. “Supporting the Newton County FLEX program gives us an opportunity to share real-world knowledge, encourage young entrepreneurs, and help students build the confidence and skills they need to turn their ideas into something meaningful. We’re proud to play a role in helping shape the next generation of business leaders.”

Center Parc’s commitment to the FLEX program extends beyond financial sponsorship. Through hands-on involvement, mentorship, and connections with local professionals, the credit union is helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world business experience while inspiring future business owners and community leaders who can contribute to the region’s long-term growth and success.
