West Palm Beach, FL — Guardians Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of David “Dave” Mard to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer, effective August 31, 2026.
Mard brings extensive leadership experience in digital transformation and innovation within the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as Director of Technology Solutions and Innovation Delivery at SkyOne Federal Credit Union, where he played a key role in major initiatives as the credit union grew from approximately $400 million to more than $900 million in assets.
“Dave brings the combination of credit union experience, technical expertise and strategic leadership we need as Guardians prepares for an exciting technology transformation,” said Steve Bosack, President & CEO of Guardians Credit Union. “His experience leading complex initiatives and enhancing member services will be a tremendous asset to our credit union.”
As CTO, Mard will oversee Guardians’ technology direction and help lead several significant projects, including upcoming digital banking and core system conversions. He will also focus on strengthening the credit union’s systems and security to better support members, employees, and future growth.
During his tenure at SkyOne, Mard helped modernize critical systems and implement a new digital banking platform, credit card processing system, core data warehouse, and other solutions. He also brings leadership experience from organizations outside the credit union industry, where he managed large-scale programs and teams supporting operations around the world.
Mard is a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) and graduate of Western CUNA Management School. He holds an MBA with concentrations in Electronic Commerce and Operations Management from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Rhode Island.
