CUES Welcomes Ray Lindley and Gary Schuette to its Board of Directors

MADISON, Wis.—CUES is pleased to announce Ray Lindley, President/CEO, CapEd Credit Union, and Gary Schuette, President/CEO, Oregon State Credit Union, have accepted appointments to serve on its board of directors.

“CUES is strengthened by leaders who bring new ideas, diverse experiences, and a shared commitment to advancing the credit union movement,” said Heather McKissick, CUES CEO. “We are excited to welcome our two new directors and look forward to the insight, energy, and leadership they will contribute as we continue developing the exceptional leaders our industry needs.”

Lindley heads up the $1.4 billion CapEd Credit Union. Prior to being named President/CEO in 2025, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Elevations Credit Union in Colorado and has nearly 30 years of experience in financial services. Lindley is a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE).

Schuette joined the $2.7 billion Oregon State Credit Union in 2024. Prior to Oregon State Credit Union, he served as Chief Financial Performance Officer for Vystar Credit Union and has more than 20 years of financial services industry experience. Schuette is a Certified Chief Executive (CCE) through CUES CEO Institute.
