Panama City, FL – Innovations Financial Credit Union is proud to announce that David Powell, Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, has been reappointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Gulf Coast State College District Board of Trustees.
Powell has been a dedicated member of the Board of Trustees, contributing his leadership and financial expertise to support the college’s mission of providing high-quality education and workforce development opportunities across the region. His reappointment reflects his continued commitment to strengthening educational access and economic growth in Northwest Florida.

In his role at Innovations Financial Credit Union, Powell oversees operations and plays a key role in driving strategic initiatives that support the organization’s growth and service to members across the Florida Panhandle.
Active in the community, Powell has previously served as Chairman of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, the Panama City Chamber of Commerce, and the Bay County Military Affairs Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from Florida State University.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
