(MOBILE, AL) New Horizons Credit Union held a Grand Opening event on Wednesday, November 19th, with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. for its newest branch located at 100 N. Florida Street, Suite E-5, Mobile, AL 36607 – in the Publix Shopping Complex. The new branch is celebrating its Grand Opening thru mid-December.
Established in 1950, New Horizons Credit Union has been serving members for over 75 years and has seen tremendous growth. New Horizons Credit Union has been searching for a feasible Midtown location for several years and have found it. , New Horizons Credit Union officials chose to move their former Midtown branch to where it is now for better accessibility and visibility. Construction began in the spring of 2025 and was completed in October 2025 making it New Horizons Credit Union’s eighth branch location.
The new state-of-the-art branch incorporates the Credit Union’s coastal brand colors and features the latest innovative banking technology. While continuing to provide the personalized service seen at their current locations, the new branch will offer a more modern and exciting service experience.
The 1,000+ square-foot store-front facility provides an open, welcoming environment featuring a teller pod to assist members and perform transactions quickly and conveniently and a 24/7 drive-up deposit capable ATM. The facility has two-member service offices ready to assist members with competitive savings and lending options. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Members may schedule convenient appointments online at www.NewHCU.org/Appointments to avoid any waiting times for loans and account services.

The Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce representatives and local officials were on hand to help celebrate New Horizons Credit Union’s newly opened Midtown branch. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was conducted followed by Grand Opening refreshments and giveaways.
